What is counselling and how can it help me?
Counselling gives you a safe, confidential space to talk openly about your thoughts and feelings.
It isn’t about being judged or told what to do—it’s about being heard, understood, and supported as you explore what’s happening in your life.
Together we can gently work towards clarity, healing, and ways to cope with challenges such as grief, anxiety, or low self-confidence.
What types of sessions do you offer?
You can choose the format that feels most comfortable for you:
In-person counselling at my quiet therapy room in New Horizons Network, Rear of 417 Lymington Rd, Highcliffe, Christchurch, BH23 5EN
Online sessions (via Zoom) from anywhere in the UK or worldwide
How long is each session and what does it cost?
Each session lasts around 50 minutes.
The fee is £50 per session, whether in person, online, or by phone.
Payment details will be shared when you book.
Will everything I share be kept private?
Yes. Everything you share is treated with strict confidentiality, within professional ethical guidelines.
I’ll explain these limits clearly in our first meeting so you feel informed and safe.
How often should I attend counselling?
Many people start with weekly sessions, as it provides steady support and helps build trust.
However, we can discuss a schedule that suits your needs and lifestyle.
What Happens in Our First Session
Your first counselling session is a gentle introduction—there’s no pressure to share everything at once.
We’ll start by talking about what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain from it.
I’ll explain how counselling works, including confidentiality, session structure, and practical details, so you feel safe and informed from the very beginning.
This time is also for you:
You can ask any questions about counselling or about working with me.
You decide how much (or how little) you’d like to share.
You can pause, take breaks, or stop at any time if you need to.
Many people leave their first session feeling relieved and supported, knowing they don’t have to face things alone and that help is already underway.
